JoCo is back!

Jonathan Coulton has released his new album today! For those of you unfamiliar with JoCo, you may recognize his work from "Stay Alive," the song that plays during the end credits of Valve's Portal.

The album is called "Artificial Heart," and is available on iTunes, Amazon, and his website.

I guess you could also go buy a "CD" in one of those "Store" things.

It's That Time of Year Again!

The other day, Spike TV announced the nominees for Game Of The Year in this years Video Game Awards.

Don't get me wrong. I think the VGA's are a travesty and nothing could actually make them worth watching, but as the only real definitive award show out there, I think it's worth mentioning.

For the year of 2011, the Game Of The Year nominees are:

-Batman: Arkham City
-Portal 2
-The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
-Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

I'm not surprised to see Skyrim or Zelda on there, even though they aren't being released until later this month. But I think that all of these have a chance in the running.

My personal choice?
Portal or Uncharted.

I found this funny. Maybe you will too!

So I know I'm a bit behind on this post, but...

Just one day after the announcement of the iPhone 4S, Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc., passed away last Wednesday at the age of 56.
Jobs had been fighting pancreatic cancer since his diagnosis in 2004, and was forced to step down as CEO earlier this year as he felt he could "no longer meet my duties and expectations."
For those wishing to share their thoughts or condolences, Apple is encouraging people to email their story to rememberingsteve@apple.com

About time, too.

Finally, at long last, the CDC has released a how-to-guide on how to prepare for a zombie apocalypse.

In other video game related news, Double Fine's Psychonauts was just released for Mac over the Steam market place. Released in 2005, Psychonauts still stands out to me as one of the most brilliant, charming, and funny games of all time. The game is currently $9.99, and comes with Steam Cloud capabilities.
Also being released is an iPhone app tie-in with the game that gives you extra commentary by Scott Campbell and Tim Schafer.
